Visiting weekend

Haven't blogged for a while as I have been working two full time jobs, not something I would recommend to anyone who wants to lead a happy life.....Luckily, to end those two dreadful weeks, we had a quick visit from some out of towners, and it sure was fun. We finally got to check out Legoland Discovery Center, ate some excellent Tex-Mex, and watched the kids have a great time! The mini-Musketeers had a blast together, and Grey was one sad dude when everyone went home.

My okra plants finally started producing, so now we are quitting all the eggplant eating we've been doing, and are thinking up good uses for okra. This is my first attempt at okra pickles, and I have already learned that I didn't pack them in hard enough, as you can see in the picture of the floating okra. Live and learn!

Two full time jobs! You must be exhausted - and you sew and can, too! The Lego Discovery Center looks amazing - I wish we had one nearby. There is one in Chicago, but that is still about 10 hours away by car... one of these days, we will get to LegoLand. Both of my boys LOVE Legos!

Here's to a quieter month for you! Get some rest, lol!
