Thanksgiving feast

Today was Grey's last day of school before Thanksgiving break, so his class had a party. They got to shuck their own corn, make a turkey, and dress up in costumes they had made the previous day. They also made fun necklaces, but what that has to do with Thanksgiving, I don't know. We are loving Grey's school and especially his teacher, and I was feeling very thankful as I watched them interacting together today. Grey's teacher is always right there, cuing them in on how to listen and learn. It's great. And she seems to love her three little students as much as they love her, which is saying something as all 3 of them are still cute, loveable, innocent little chickadees.
Here they are getting started on their turkeys.
And the finished product, soon to be centerpiece, I am sure.
In his Indian costume, ready to eat.
Yum! Our little vegetarian wouldn't touch the turkey with a ten foot pole.
